SUPPORT FOR FAMILIES WHEN THEY NEED IT MOST
Sometimes a family needs a little extra support to get through a difficult season. THE BEACON and Voices for Children – Okeechobee & the Treasure Coast work to connect children and families with practical resources, information, and people who can help.
Available resources may include a Free Library, clothing assistance, emergency clothing when available, school supplies, backpacks, hygiene items, educational resources, and other essentials. What is available can change based on community donations and current needs.
MORE THAN A RESOURCE — A CONNECTION
We know we cannot provide everything every family may need, and we don’t believe we have to.
When a family comes to us with a need that we cannot directly meet, we work to connect them with a trusted organization, agency, business, or community partner that may be able to help.
That’s why we value collaboration over competition.
Children and families don’t benefit when organizations work in silos. They benefit when we share information, resources, relationships, and solutions.
VISION PROGRAM
We help connect children with vision screenings and glasses when cost or access may otherwise stand in the way. Because seeing clearly can make a difference in how a child learns, participates, and experiences the world. Apply Here

If your family needs clothing, school supplies, hygiene items, books, educational resources, or another type of assistance, you can submit a Family Resource Request.
