John Lendman

President

John Lendman is retired from a career in Computers for 38 years. He is very active in charities for children. He joined Voices for the children this year and looks forward to helping in what ever comes up.

He previously was the president of Caring Children Clothing Children of Martin County. He is currently an Guardian ad Litem in Martin County, where he and his wife serve as the voice in court for foster children. He was previously the School Board Chairman for 20 plus years at Redeemer Church and School. And recently became one the sponsors of an Afghanistan family that was forced to leave Afghanistan and make a new life in America.

Britt Lewis

Treasure

Britt Lewis is a retired executive and award-winning leader in the satellite communications industry, with a distinguished 42-year career spanning key roles at Viasat, Inmarsat Government, Intelsat General, and Intelsat. Recognized for his expertise in strategy, technical sales, capture management, and business development, Britt has led teams to secure major government contracts and driven significant business growth, including $218 million in new business revenue at Inmarsat Government over a five-year period. His leadership was instrumental in the creation of Intelsat General Corporation and in winning landmark programs for NASA, NATO, and the U.S. Navy.
Britt holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics with a concentration in International Commerce from Kalamazoo College and has completed advanced executive programs at MIT Sloan, Northwestern’s Kellogg School, UVA Darden, and others. Throughout his career, he has been recognized for his customer focus, operational excellence, and ability to mobilize cross-functional teams in dynamic, disruptive markets.
Now retired from the industry, Britt continues his commitment to service as the volunteer Treasurer and Board Member of Voices for Children of the Okeechobee and Treasure Coast, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting abused, neglected, and underprivileged children across four Florida counties. In this role, he helps raise funds and awareness to provide critical resources and enrichment opportunities for vulnerable youth.

Britt is also known for his passion for youth sports, having served as a volunteer coach for 15 years, and for his active involvement in community fundraising initiatives. He resides in Florida with his wife Cecilia and family.

Lorelei Pierce

Secretary

Lori Pierce – Born and raised in Vero Beach, Lori Pierce brings deep local roots and strong professional experience to her role as Board Secretary. She currently works as a Cloud Solution Architect and Senior Project Manager at Microsoft, where she’s led teams and delivered results for the past 4½ years. Lori is married to a longtime member of the Indian River County Sheriff’s Office, proudly supporting his 34 years of service. Together, they’ve raised two grown children who are actively pursuing their dreams. Whether launching and managing a PTA or keeping board operations on track, Lori brings clarity, compassion, and leadership to everything she does.

Terence Channon

Past President

Terence joins the board bringing over 20 years of digital marketing and business development experience. Currently, he is Executive Chairman & Principal at NewLead, a digital marketing and technology development firm.

Previous professional experience includes technology, marketing and executive leadership roles at Saltmines Group, Bridgevine and Atlantic Synergy. Terence has been a volunteer at the YMCA of the Treasure Coast and contributes his time and abilities to other organizations and causes.

Terence’s board & governance experience includes elected roles at the Pelican Yacht Club, including positions as the club’s Secretary and Rear Commodore; the finance committee at Stockton Village Homeowners Association and publicly traded Atlantic Synergy. He also serves as an advisor, board member and investor in several consumer-facing technology start-up companies and global management consulting firms. He holds the Directorship Certified Credential from the National Association of Corporate Directors and is a member of the Private Directors Association.

Terence is near lifelong resident of St. Lucie County, Florida. He holds a B.A. degree in Religious Studies from Stetson University and participated in the school’s Roland George Investments Program and the Prince Entrepreneurship Program.

As a mother of three and a proud grandmother, Patrice brings not only her business savvy but also deep compassion and understanding to her work. With extensive hands-on experience supporting foster children and families, she has dedicated her life to advocating for vulnerable youth and creating programs that empower and uplift.

Patrice combines her entrepreneurial spirit with a heart for service, leading initiatives that bridge resources and support for those in need.

Her vision is grounded in building stronger, safer communities through collaboration, transparency, and unwavering dedication. Recognized forher leadership, authenticity, and strategic thinking, Patrice is a driving force behind meaningful change in the lives of children and families across Okeechobee and the Treasure Coast.
